EDG has had a wonderful partnership with Georgia Tech students for the past three years. As part of their class work in APPH 1040 Scientific Foundation of Health Community Action Projects, students volunteer for a wide range of activities. They conduct research, design educational materials, and provide hands-on help at the Greenway.
On October 14, 2023, twelve smart, energetic students worked at the Greenway. They removed weeds and invasive plants from our two rain gardens, hauled tree refuse, dug up invasive plants, and planted trees. They accomplished an amazing amount of work in three hours.
EDG depends on volunteers to maintain the Greenway as a healthy habitat. The students from Georgia Tech sustain this place and we are so appreciative! Thanks to Professor Teresa Snow and APPH 1040 Scientific Foundations of Health Community Action Projects!
